2020 Christmas.
Lunch Hikes.
April and I have been hiking different trails everyday for the past 3 days since she got new poles. I was able to get in some mountain biking as well during her meeting, so happy I put stud’s on my fatty this year. Hopefully we will get a little snow for me to play in this Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Zwift pain cave.
Setup the smart trainer for the Winter. I started running on Zwift as well as biking this year!
Awesome after work ride.
My wife April turns 53!
I hope my wife enjoyed her birthday! It was nice to get out, we don’t get out to much in the age of Covid 19. I really hope April enjoyed her birthday and the gifts we got for her.
Border to Border trail riding.
The family got out of the house to do a little bike riding, perfect weather!

Father's Day
I had a really good Father’s Day! The family got me a couple really nice cards and a vacuum sealer for my 3d printer filament, which I put into use immediately! I love my two sons with all my heart and I’m impressed on how intelligent both of them have become. I hope both of them continue their education until they have the confidence to make it in the world. I will always provide a home for them as long as I’m alive. My sister called me and texted me, love her to death as well! A shout out to Tim & Betsy, very nice of both them to text me and hope Tim Moore’s Father’s Day was as awesome as mine!
I have put on 6 pounds of muscle, can bench press 75% of my weight, run a hour on a treadmill, then bike a hour after that. I don’t regret becoming a Pescetarian and will continue to avoid the: Beef, Chicken and Pork grown in United States of America!
My rusting F150.
Checking on my spare tire I couldn’t believe how rusted the undercarriage has become. At first I was thinking it was beyond hope. My second son is going to be starting college this fall, this truck has to last 4 more years.
After scrapping off the rust I could, a coat of Xionlab 2 in 1 rust converter and metal primer was applied, then I sprayed everything with Woolwax lanolin vehicle undercoating. I am very happy with how it turned out. Maybe spray the Woolwax every year, we will see how it holds up. I like the clear shine it adds.
Curiosity Rover on Ender 3
I think this is the best thing I have printed on my Ender 3. I’ve also made a comb to straighten out my condensing coil fins and a couple of clamps; having some fun.
2020 Dexter Dreadnaughts Senior Salute.
Creality Ender 3.
The Ender 3 went on sale and after lurking for a while I picked one up. I put it together in the early morning hours and it seems to do a really good job printing. I am printing a Curiosity Rover from the NASA website, hoping for the best.
Simplify3D slicing software for 3D printers.
I finally broke down and decided to go with a paid slicing program and it’s made a impressive difference in my prints. The profile is really dialed-in for my printer and so many things can be customized; very happy.
The first thing I printed was a mount for my helmet camera remote switch for 22mm bars.
The switch is now in the perfect position to snap pictures or record video.
Hosting service nightmare.
I feel I am done with free hosting and have tried everyone. Byethost has been for the most part okay these past couple of years and maybe the leader of free hosting, but lately found myself having to rebuild my website with no consistent uptime . I subscribe to CyberScout and found my personal e-mail information on the Dark web from other free hosting services, never again. The only reason I have this website is to challenge my brain a little.
Hudson Mills Border to Border trail.
My last ride before the Covid 19 out break, been locked up in the house ever since.
2020 Graduation.
Do to Covid 19 Shane will not be having a graduation ceremony or party. This sigh and a T-shirt ( must be in the mail) will have to do.
My 2006 F150.
My last trip to the car wash left a good size hole on my fender wheel well and the other side already had small hole. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on this truck so I decided not to buy a repair panel and just grinded down to the metal and filled in with some Bondo body filler. The Duplicolor paint for my paint code seems to match good.
Shane is going to start college next year and I would like to get a couple more years out of this truck, right now I have 124,000 miles. I think this summer I am going to apply chassis rust treatment to extend the life of the body.
30 year anniversary at U of M.
ASUS ROG G751JT-CH71 Laptop overhaul.
My laptop needed a new battery and new lcd panel, nice to have it back to normal.
It seems like a really nice panel, very bright. I love my 5 year old laptop now.
The battery I got from Ebay for $50 is just okay. I don’t think it will last 2 hours like the Asus one. The fact you have to pull a part the whole laptop to install it is a really bad design. I really love Asus laptops and still own my first one. The battery location on this model sucks for sure.
Shane turns 18!
Celebrated Shane’s 18th birthday at Olive Garden and opened gifts at home.
Dexter having ice cravings is interesting to me, In the 80’s I used to compete in ice sculpture carving contests while I was studying Culinary Arts at W.C.C. The best I ever did was 7th at the Plymouth ice festival.
My best run to date, I was hoping to increase my time to 60 minutes and I’m there.
I became a vegetarian in December 2019 and I have been losing a pound every 10 days while building muscle with weights. I’m hoping this will give me the endurance I need for mountain biking this year.
One of my favorite apps helping meet my goals is the “The Lose It”
app, I hope you check it out!
